HAIR TODAY (1977)
A cappella SSATTB choir, after the anonymous 17th-century
poem, "A Dialogue Concerning Hair Between a Man and a Woman" (2:00)
Published by Galaxy-Highgate Music
Here is a piece for every school or college choir. A witty poem from the 17th century . . it is mainly about the excessive length of the man's hair. The music, antiphonal in form (male to female), is an amusing combination of antique style and a more modern style of free modulation. It is not difficult, and it should be a popular addition to the repertoire.
